Cowboys injury drift

NORTH Queensland have drifted from $9 to $17 in premiership betting after Johnathan Thurston was injured in his team’s loss to the Wests Tigers on Saturday night.

Thurston could miss up to a month after suffering a calf injury in the Cowboys’ 26-16 loss.

“It was a bumpy start for North Queensland letting in three tries in the first 15 minutes,” TAB’s Jaimee Rogers said.

“Losing JT (Johnathan Thurston) is a huge blow for the Cowboys. They have only won three of 13 matches without him since 2012.”

The next five rounds will be tough for North Queensland when they face the likes of St George Illawarra, Newcastle, Parramatta, Bulldogs and Cronulla. Odds
